The real estate market is seeing the “house swap” as an increasingly popular trend this year. Back in the day, vacationers would frequently swap houses for a week or two (like in the movie The Holiday from a couple years ago), but this is 2008. The economy has changed. Why not trade in your house like a used car?

Realtor Magazine says most folks involved in the home trading game are those who understand the process and are motivated to get their house sold. Usually there is a financial transaction moving from one party to another to accommodate for a difference in home value.
