I just read this excellent and informative post by Rudy Bachraty of Trulia entitled “How to Pick the Best Real Estate Agent for You.” It gives steps to find your ideal real estate agent in your region — either online or offline.

Before your start doing your homework, I want you to envision your ideal real estate agent. Write down your thoughts. Then start searching…..

One thing that the author does not mention is researching the success of the agents in your area. Of course, just because an agent has been successful does not mean that they are the right agent for you, but success in the real estate industry — especially in this market — is a great measurement as to how hard that agent will work for you.
