If you’ve ever worked with a Kline May Realty agent, you know that we hold customer service at an extremely high standard. To aid us in this endeavor, we look to clients for help. After each transaction, we send our clients a customer service questionnaire and ask them to complete it so that we can see how we did, and whether or not there are areas in which we can improve. One question we asked our clients in 2011 was “How did the property come to your attention?” The results are interesting:
As you can see, most (41.7%) of our clients found the property they eventually bought through their agent. The internet was a close second at 39.4%. Those top two results are to be expected. What is interesting, though, is that ZERO of our buyer clients found their properties through print advertising, like real estate magazines or newspapers.
Note to sellers: print advertising just isn’t where most consumers go to look for real estate information anymore. Buyers want the most current information on any given property, which is almost always going to be through their agent or online. Many times when a potential buyer sees something about a property in print, that information is old. Your best option is to use a listing agent that will work his/her network, will personally contact other successful area agents, and will market your home online… not just on one site, but several. And not just putting your home’s information out there, but making it stand out. The Harrisonburg Homes Team does that. Find out how by contacting us or checking out our page for sellers!
