We are excited to welcome Rachel Burchfield to the gallery for the months of December and January! Rachel specializes in acrylic pour art and we’re excited to be able to showcase such colorful pieces for a good cause! She is a 22 year old who loves photography, writing and blogging, and recently discovered a love for painting; she picked up painting just over a year ago as a form of distraction therapy to help cope with the chronic illnesses she faces. Much to her surprise, people began expressing interest in the abstract paintings, and it quickly became a more prominent part of Rachel’s life. Because of her own illnesses, Rachel started a project called Newbie Tubie Care Packages and sends packages to children and young adults who are preparing for their first surgical feeding tubes, and she funds this with the sale of her artwork. 100% of Positively Rachel Art & Design profits go towards these packages, so with each purchase, you are enabling another box to be sent to a “newbie tubie.”

Join us Friday January 4th from 5-8pm for our Artist Reception!

Enjoy light refreshments and a chance to chat with the artist. Check out Rachel’s blog and online store at positivelyrachel.com.
