Jean Carter Kimble

We are excited to welcome back Jean Carter Kimble, a pastel artist that hails from Front Royal, to the Gallery for July! Jean enjoys painting the natural around her, and has written a women’s studies book highlighting her paintings of Biblical Women entitled “The Rich, The Poor, and The Naked.” You can read more about her art journey and book on her website: jeancarterkimbleart.com

More on her medium from her website: “Soft pastels are pure pigment rolled into sticks with a minimum amount of binder to hold the materials together. No liquid binders, as is used in paints, means purer pigments and saturation of color which will not fade or change over time.  Every work of art is painted on 100% rag acid-free paper and framed in archival materials under museum conservation glass.”
