The Valley Playhouse - Harrisonburg's Community Theater - is hosting a Valley-wide community theater festival on March 31st at Court Square Theater in downtown Harrisonburg. The evening will include selected scenes from the area's community theater organizations before a panel of judges, live and silent auctions items, and dinner at Capital Ale House (or around downtown). This is the first event of this type hosted by the Valley Playhouse.

From co-owner's of The Isle Co. Kathy Miller and Becca Slye (a mother and daughter duo) comes a new space to open in the Agora Downtown Market - Create Downtown. They will host a verity of classes and workshops lead by guest teachers - from knitting to marble pour painting. They also offer a variety of creative games and puzzles to purchase. Well, it's happened folks - downtown Harrisonburg finally has a deli! Lola Mo's Delicatessen opened last month in the newly renovated Keezell building. Open 7 days a week from 10am-7pm, they offer a verity of classic sandwiches (as well as options for vegans and vegetarians) or if you're feeling creative you can make your own signature sandwich. Want something in addition? Try one of their daily soups or sides, and don't forget the dessert case! The Arts Council of the Valley is hosting the Cupid Crawl Fundraiser on Wednesday, February 14th starting at 5:00pm - an evening "crawl" with a handful of downtown art galleries, delicious food and drinks, and an optional free showing of a film at Court Square Theater afterwards!
