Waffle Yum is a new food truck in the Harrisonburg area that features Belgian Liege Waffles - made from dough (not batter) and Belgian Pearl sugar (can you say caramelization and flavor?) that combine to create a tasty treat! They also offer fruit smoothies! Read on for Renae and Dave Eaton's answers to our questions!
The Spitzer Art Center has recently opened up a new space for local artists to sell their items. Erin Murray, a full-time artist and organizer of the Spitzer Art Center, showed me around the Center and the new Gallery Shop. The Center is truly for and about artists - offering exhibition space, studio rental, and classes. They help connect local artists with the community through various programs, workshops, and member showcases. Check out their space if you're an artist, or just a community member looking to become involved in the local arts scene!
Late summer is a great time to eat outside and enjoy the views...and what better place to do that than on a rooftop downtown! Jimmy Madison's has recently opened up a rooftop dining and bar area atop the Free Clinic. I had the opportunity to meet the general manager, Scott Stephens, and he showed me around their beautiful newly renovated space - with great views of the courthouse and downtown.
