Community Theater Fest | Harrisonblog.com

The Valley Playhouse – Harrisonburg’s Community Theater – is hosting a Valley-wide community theater fest this Saturday March 31st starting at 5:30pm at Court Square Theater in downtown Harrisonburg. The evening will include selected scenes from the area’s community theater organizations before a panel of judges (including Harrisonburg’s Mayor Donna Reed), live and silent auctions items, and dinner at Capital Ale House (or around downtown). This is the first event of this type hosted by the Valley Playhouse.

This community theater fest will include performances from past productions and upcoming performances from eight theater groups- including “Rumors” from the Waynesboro Players, “Lend Me A Tenor” from the Valley Playhouse, “Evita” from Theater Shenandoah, and others. The theater companies will hail from as far North as Theater Shenandoah in Edinburg, and as far South as The Waynesboro Players. Rounding out the evening will be time for dinner at the Capitol Ale House with the actors and board members of the Valley Playhouse and silent and live auctions. Some of the auction items include a professional makeup session, autographed celebrity photographs, various gift baskets and cards, plus much more!

Tickets are available at the door or online by visiting www.valleyplayhouse.com.
