Market Infographic Mar 2018 | Harrisonburg Homes Team

It’s April already and we’re seeing sales increase slightly from last year. However, new listings are down and falling short by 22%, as compared to last year.  When a home hits the market, it doesn’t stay there for long. The average days on market has continued to drop drastically in 2018—26%—from 112 to 83. The average price per square foot is continuing to rise and is up to $117 in 2018 thus far (as compared to $109 in 2017). The median sales price has reached $200,000, up 4% from 2017.

If you’re looking to sell your home in 2018—this is certainly a seller’s market! As a team, we closed 72 seller transactions in 2017 and are looking forward to a successful and fulfilling 2018. Please, if you have any questions, or are looking to put your house on the market, please contact us!

In 2017 we helped 67 buyers find their home. If you’re interested in starting the home search in 2018, we’d be more than happy to guide you through the ins and outs of purchasing from contract to closing.
