Now that the school year is wrapping up and summer is upon us there are tons of opportunities to get outside and enjoy all the Valley has to offer. From festivals, fairs, breweries, hiking trails, water holes and more there is plenty to do to enjoy some fun in the sun. One of the great opportunities to take advantage of are all of the local community lawn parties. With great food, music, entertainment and more, these parties are a great way to enjoy the summer and explore all these local towns have to offer here in the Shenandoah Valley.

Historic Harrisonburg: Exploring the Foundry

If you've driven on Route 42 past downtown Harrisonburg recently, you might have noticed a flurry of activity on Old South High Street. Matchbox Realty is transforming the grouping of buildings that used to make up P. Bradley & Sons Foundry into 21 residential units with a mix of studios and one and two bedroom options. Texas Inn: Your Corner Diner

We have new downtown neighbors! We're excited to share a wall with Harrisonburg's recently opened downtown diner: the Texas Inn! There's everything you'd expect an old fashioned diner to offer: red bar stools, friendly and knowledgeable staff, all day breakfast and lunch (and we mean all day - they're open until midnight during the week and 2am on the weekend), reasonable prices (many of their menu items start with $3, $4, and $5), and an unbeatable location.
