Downtown Spotlight: withSimplicity

Although withSimplicity has been in the downtown scene for a few years now - they recently expanded and moved to the storefront on 108 S. Main street where they share the space with Restorative Massage Therapy. They celebrated their grand opening on October 6th. The owner, Irina Dovganetskiy, graciously answered our questions about the new location. With many of their products made in-house with fresh and organic ingredients and their support of body positivity, this new location has much to offer!

Community Spotlight: The Free Clinic

As someone who works downtown, I have walked by the Free Clinic hundreds (if not thousands) of times. And yet, I was not fully aware of what a remarkable and necessary community resource it is - a (quite literally) life-saving service for many of my neighbors. The clinic is full of exceptional people on a mission "to provide affordable, sustainable healthcare services for low-income and uninsured adults, primarily through volunteer resources and community support." An incredible resource for so many in the community, one Free Clinic doctor calls his volunteer work at the clinic "the purest form of medicine." We recently had the chance to talk with Jenny Burden who was a member of our Team before taking on the role of Executive Director at the Arts Council.
