Special thanks to our team member Peyton Miller for writing this encouraging blog post. Peyton writes: Being nicknamed “the Friendly City,” one would think that in a pandemic people might become decidedly less friendly, but thankfully this does not appear to be true. As a real estate team, we have had the privilege of hearing many stories of neighbors caring for each other. We would like to share a few with you in hopes that you will be encouraged as we have been.
Late summer is a great time to eat outside and enjoy the views...and what better place to do that than on a rooftop downtown! Jimmy Madison's has recently opened up a rooftop dining and bar area atop the Free Clinic. I had the opportunity to meet the general manager, Scott Stephens, and he showed me around their beautiful newly renovated space - with great views of the courthouse and downtown.
The annual Farm-to-Table Breakfast, previously held at Clementine, is scheduled for October 24, 2016, at Ruby's Arcade in downtown Harrisonburg. A delicious collaboration from local farms provides an incredible breakfast, complete with local coffee and a friendly atmosphere. There really is no better way to highlight our amazing local farms than in a breakfast spread at a favorite downtown location in the Culinary District!
There's a new place in town that is sure to become a Harrisonburg favorite in no time. Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company has officially opened. And we are officially big fans.
